Chapter 3
Ben went outside everyday to dig more of the robot. On the fifth day of this process, he had already found its head. It wasn't a very big head, but it was a medium sized one. Perfect for that robot. By the twelfth day, he was done. There was a very deep hole. The hole was about a yard deep. The robot was laying on its back, facing up. It was broken. Ben took off the plate of metal on its belly and looked inside. Wires and gears were all over the over the place. Ben got a wrench out of his pocket and he started twisting and turning. He found broken motors. He went in the workshop to find batteries and a couple of tools. He tried to fix the robot. Then he knew he had to make a prototype first. He made a mini one. It was made out of Lego. He turned on the motors. FAIL... This time, he tried putting different gears. Again, it was a FAIL. Sadly, Ben looked at books of robots. And studied about them. He asked some help from master, not mentioning the robot he had found, but just simply asking. Master helped him. But one day when Ben was going to the robot, master followed. Master looked at the robot and smiled. He went into his room. And went to his drawers. He opened the secret drawer and took out the sheet of paper. It said, ROBOT...

Ben looked at the robot's gears. Something just didn't look right. He took a hammer and banged on the side of the gear. "Better," he thought. Then he pulled the switch. The motors spun around. Happily he looked at the deeper part. Then he noticed something. There was a golden shaped thing. He looked closely. A golden gear. He grabbed it. It was shiny. But it didn't belong to anywhere. But he had an idea. The robot needed a heart. A heart like a human has. There was a part sticking out in the middle of it. He stuck the golden gear on the stick thing. Suddenly, everything started to turn perfectly. The robot, lifted its arm. Master came running. Ben looked at master. Master looked at Ben, proud. Master told Ben that the robot was his invention he made when he was 23. But he had failed. The robot stood up. It was about 11 feet tall. WOw-BZZZITBZIT!!!!But the robot made a huge noise and its head fell off. What the? The robot collapsed to the floor. It needed something, something important...
